Say goodbye to turkey and baked ham and say hello to the French delicacy – foie gras.

On Friday 31 January, Grand Old House will present a sumptuous foie gras lunch.

Guests can enjoy a decadent four-course menu; each course is paired with expertly selected high-end wines.

The first course is Foie Gras Mille Feuille which features foie gras mousse, sauterne jelly, glazed grapes and pistachio phyllo pastry accompanied by Nicolas Joly, Clos de la Coulée de Serrant, Savennieres, 1995.

The second course includes foie gras risotto, duck confit, roasted mushrooms and foie gras crumbles, paired with Hubert Lamy, Clos des Hâtes, Santenay, 2021.

For the third course, beef tenderloin is served with seared foie gras, truffle jus, princess potatoes and green beans. Château Brane-Cantenac, Margaux, 2003, Jeroboam 3 Lt has been selected to complement this dish.

And finally, for dessert, savour foie gras crème Brulé with glazed apples and almond crisp accompanied by Château D’Yquem, Sauternes, Bordeaux, 2015.

Reservations are required as there is limited seating for this event. The cost is CI$300 per person, all-inclusive.

Lunch will commence at 12.30pm.
