Sunday 14 May 2023 is Mother’s Day and a special time to celebrate our mothers and maternal bonds. In the Cayman Islands, one of the most popular celebratory options is a Mother’s Day brunch. We’ve compiled details from some of the top restaurants in the Cayman Islands serving Mother’s Day brunch and dinner specials this year.

Anchor and Den, Grand Cayman Marriott Resort, West Bay

Mother’s Day weekend is extra special at Anchor and Den this year. On Saturday 13 May you can enjoy a Mother’s Day ‘Mad Tea Party’. The event is inspired by the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party from Alice in Wonderland, but this Mad Tea will have additional details to honour all moms, plus an individual treat will be served at the end. Delight in a decadent dessert display, all the high tea classics, and creative tea blends designed by the experts of Tea Time in Cayman. Tea is from 1.30pm to 4.30pm for CI$49 plus gratuities per person.

On Sunday 14 May 2023, Anchor and Den will host a Mother’s Day brunch. The delicious Mother’s Day spread will include sushi and oysters from our popular raw bar, charcuterie, and a mouthwatering dessert and pastry station. We have a special treat for moms too. The afternoon will be full of delicious gastronomy and bottomless bubbles, all in the company of friends and family. Brunch is from noon to 3pm and costs CI$120. You can upgrade to champagne for CI$150. Children aged from six to 12 dine for CI$60.

Cracked Conch, North West Point Road, West Bay

The Cracked Conch will be hosting a special locally inspired Mother’s Day brunch from 11am til 3pm. Buffet brunch costs CI$52 per person and if you’d like to enjoy endless bubbles, pay an additional CI$35 per person. Kids under 12, CI$26 per child. David’s Restaurant, Morritt’s Resort, East End

If you are looking to take your mom somewhere special, away from the hustle and bustle of Seven Mile Beach, then head east to Morritt’s.

Not only are they offering Mother’s Day brunch, but also the chance to win a complimentary gift certificate from their partner, International Diamond Centre! The first 50 reservations are eligible to receive this fabulous gift.

The Mother’s Day brunch offers an extensive selection of salads, seafood, meat, sushi, pasta, and delicious desserts. The price is CI$49.95 for adults and CI$17.50 for children aged five to 11, and tots aged five and under eat for free. There is also the option of bottomless bubbles and “all you can drink” house brands for an additional CI$25, which will be served for two hours. All prices will incur a 15% gratuity. La Casita, Austin Connolly Drive, East End

La Casita will have a set three-course brunch menu for CI$35 per person, including a glass of bubbles. To start, you can enjoy Mango Aguachile with fresh local fish ceviche, bathed with cucumber and mango sauce, local tomato, local cucumber, jalapeno, red onion, mint, cilantro, lime juice, served with homemade chips or Mexican Avo Toast with toasted sourdough, topped with fresh avocado, pumpkin seeds, charred corn, sweet sorrel drizzle, pickled red onions and Queso Fresco.

For the main course, you can choose delicious Huevos Benedictos – Benedict eggs served over toasted multigrain bread with refried beans, crispy pork chorizo, poached eggs, chipotle hollandaise sauce, cilantro, jalapeno slices, side of breakfast potato and roasted cherry tomatoes.

Or you can select the Enmoladas, enchiladas bathed with sweet mole sauce, stuffed with chicken, topped with sesame seeds, sour cream drizzle, Queso Fresco and sliced red onions, over a bed of fried plantain, side of white rice with nuts and refried pinto beans.

Choose the tres leches with caramelised strawberries or the flan with hazelnut sauce and toasted nuts for dessert.

Lobster Pot Restaurant and Wine Bar, North Church Street, George Town

As ever, the brunch menu at Lobster Pot offers a seafood-laden sumptuous choice of soups, salads, appetisers, main courses, their famous Eggs Benedicts, and desserts and don’t forget to check out their cocktails menu.

The Mother’s Day set dinner menu costs CI$65 plus gratuities per person. Appetisers include shrimp bisque, tomato, asparagus and feta salad, or Dungeness crab cakes. Main courses feature seared Chilean seabass or chicken Cordon Bleu or crab and shrimp filet mignon Oscar style. Dessert is a sweet choice of either passion fruit crème brulee or coconut pie.

Ragazzi will have a special prix fixe Mother’s Day menu for CI$49.95. The delectable menu includes local snapper ceviche or mixed mushroom arancini with black truffle aioli for appetisers. For the main course, you have the choice of surf and turf lobster tail and grass-fed tenderloin or homemade local pumpkin and goats cheese tortellini. And for dessert, enjoy white chocolate pannacotta, berry compote and biscotti. Every mom will receive a complimentary glass of prosecco.

The Falls Steakhouse, Canal Point Drive

Mother’s Day at The Falls Steakhouse will be delicious. Enjoy the bacon-wrapped shrimp appetiser served with Bearnaise sauce for CI$19.95. The main course will be beef wellington for CI$58.95. Diners can get the tenderloin wrapped with portabella mushroom, English mustard, Parma ham and puff pastry. This will be served with Bearnaise sauce, your choice of vegetables and a starch, along with a complimentary beverage. End the meal with a moist and sweet slice of carrot cake for CI$9.95.

Union Grill & Bar, Camana Bay

Make it a special Mother’s Day to remember and head to Union Grill & Bar at Camana Bay. A three-course a la carte menu will be available from noon til 9pm so all you need to do is choose whether you wish to book for lunch or dinner! The cost is CI$75 plus gratuities per person.  Also, if you would like to enjoy unlimited bubbles with your meal, then take advantage of the opportunity to pay CI$30 plus gratuities per person.
