Situated in the heart of Seven Mile beach in the Strand, Canton Chinese Restaurant is Cayman’s longest standing Chinese Restaurant, first opening their doors in 1995, serving up a tempting selection of China’s most popular dishes, specialising in Szechuan and Cantonese cuisine.

Over the years, Canton Restaurant has become well-known for their fast and friendly service, generous food portions and affordable prices. The large airy restaurant with separate bar area is always busy and a popular spot for Cayman’s Chinese food lovers.  Authentic Chinese décor adds to the ambience and dining experience, with the restaurant becoming a firm favourite amongst locals and visitors alike.

Enjoy lunch combo specials including a choice of complimentary soup.  Lunch favourites include sweet & sour chicken/shrimp, honey garlic chicken/shrimp, honey sesame chicken, Mala chicken, General Ching’s chicken/shrimp, chop suey, special fried rice, special lo mein and more.

My “must try” recommendation is General Ching’s shrimp: deep fried, breaded jumbo shrimp cooked in a “special” delicious brown sauce.  Choose from mild, medium or spicy and enjoy with a glass of their freshly blended fruit punch!

Sadly, there is only a limited time left to enjoy your favourite Canton dishes as it has been reported that they will be closing their doors at the end of 2022 after 27 years of service.

Canton Chinese Restaurant is currently open five days a week, Tuesday to Saturday from 11:30am to 3pm and 5pm to 10pm closed Sundays and Mondays.
