If you’re always on the prowl for the best sports bars to watch American Football, basketball, golf, rugby and football (aka soccer for the Americans out there), then these are the places you want to visit.  They’re all known to show major sporting events, while serving delicious bar food and drinks to enhance your experience.

Fidel Murphy’s

Fidel Murphy’s is located along Seven Mile Beach and is the oldest public house on island.  They are best known for featuring Premier League and Champion’s League football, rugby, Gaelic football and even American football.  Sip on a pint of the best Guinness on island and make sure to order some of their tasty pub food, which includes Fish & Chips and Bangers & Mash.  They also open early on the weekend to accommodate for the time difference between Cayman and Europe, so order some breakfast while you watch your favourite teams go at it.

This open-air bar is located in Camana Bay and is always buzzing with residents who love their creative cocktails and upscale beer and wine options.  Karoo have TVs placed in key locations around the room and they show sports from their selection of ESPN packages, such as football, hockey, basketball and the NFL.  For specialty sporting events, such as a final or one-off exhibition fight, stay in the loop as they tend to offer specials on food and drinks.  Don’t forget to order their popular scotch bonnet tequila shot to celebrate or drown your sorrows!

Legendz Bar & Grille

This massive, indoor bar is opposite to the Westin Resort & Spa along Seven Mile Beach.  It has TV screens galore around the bar (and even in the booths at the back) to ensure you don’t miss a second of the game.  Legendz is known for its huge, global food menu that features burgers, pasta, curries, quesadillas and more.

Lloyd’s Smokehouse

For a more intimate sports bar that’s home to some smoky goodness, look no further than Lloyd’s along the Seven Mile strip.  If you’re craving a Texas-style menu as you watch your favourite team, then this is your spot as they have incredible St. Louis spareribs, bacon-wrapped jalapenos and bourbon cocktails.  Sit inside ‘The Brickyard’ where the bar is located and is home to a handful of TVs or sit outside in ‘The Pit’ while inhaling the flavourful smells from the nearby smoker.

Lone Star

You can’t miss this open-air sports bar as it is literally perched next to the road as you drive along the Seven Mile strip.  You can always find a TV to watch at Lone Star as they’re all around the bar and within view of every table, both indoors and outside.  Let the staff know, which game you’re interested in, and they’ll find a TV to play it for you.

PD’s Sports Bar & Grill

PD’s (aka Pirate’s Den) is a tinted, air-conditioned sports bar that’s been around since 1987 and located in the back of Galleria Plaza along the Seven Mile strip.  Inside they have a bar and restaurant and are passionate about all things sport, from basketball to boxing and the NFL.  Make sure to order wings when you visit as they have some of the best on island.

Salty’s in Grand Harbour is perfectly situated for sports fans living between South Sound and Savannah.  The bar is the centrepiece of this indoor space and it’s surrounded by tables, booths and a whopping 24 TVs.  They have a ton of channels, so expect to find sporting events from around the world including basketball, football, hockey, American football and boxing.  If you feel like being outside in a more intimate setting, grab a seat at their outdoor bar Mike’s which has 3 TVs for your viewing pleasure.  Take the time to enjoy their American-style bar menu of wood-fired pizzas, nachos or wings while you’re at it.
