Move over turkey and stuffing! Grand Old House is focusing on foie gras and presenting their popular and sumptuous annual foie gras lunch on Friday 19 January.

Guests can enjoy a four-course menu which features seared halibut and classic foie gras paté, with marinated oranges as the first course accompanied by Château Guiraud, Le G de Guiraud, Sauternes, 2020. 

The second course includes sous vide cooked duck breast and seared foie gras with balsamic cherries, paired with Charles Joguet, Cuvee de la Cure, Chinon, Loire Valley, 2018.

Then for the third course, there is foie gras crusted filet, topped with foie gras terrine, potato-truffle mille-feuille, and asparagus with Bordeaux jus. Château Latour Martillac, 2010, Pessac Leognac, Jeroboam 3 Lt has been selected to complement this dish.

And finally, for dessert, savour foie gras ice cream served with raspberries and white chocolate mousse, accompanied by Château D’Yquem, Sauternes, Bordeaux, 1998.

Reservations are required as there is limited seating for this annual event. The cost is CI$250 per person all inclusive.

Lunch will commence at 12.30pm.
