There’s always something new that comes onto Cayman’s food and beverage scene, so I figured the least we could do is highlight them so you’re aware of their existence.  This restaurant rundown is meant to highlight the newest members to our food scene, some you’ve heard of and some you haven’t.  So here are the latest restaurants, food trucks & pop-ups to launch on Grand Cayman between January and March 2023.

Silk Chinese Cuisine has officially opened and taken over the space that was formerly Canton.  Though there is limited information that can be found regarding this location, it appears to be serving similar cuisine as it’s predecessor including General Chings Shrimp, Sweet & Sour Chicken and Fried Wontons. Call them at (345) 945-3536 to find out more.

1981 Brewing Co. has a new “snack van” sitting outside of their brewery in Industrial Park.  They’ve teamed up with Caribos to bring us their Beers & Brats food truck where the menu includes a variety of Caribos sausages, plus a limited selection of gyros, burgers and 10” pizzas.  While you wait, grab a pint inside the 1981 Brewery and select from their popular beers and seasonal specials. If you are a fan of authentic Peruvian cuisine then you may be interested in Lima Cevicheria. They have a limited menu that serves not only ceviche, but also the likes of a poke bowl, a brisket sanguchon (sandwich), other Peruvian classics and daily specials. They are currently accessible by Bento for orders, but visit their Instagram page to learn more.

The Agua Hospitality Group have finally opened up their latest concept in the new Harbour Walk complex. Aria highlights coastal Mediterranean cuisine, which covers the likes of Europe, North Africa & the Middle East. It’s great to see the variety of ingredients that they are utilising, such as jamon Íberico, mussels, lamb and cous cous.

Aria has a beautifully decorated space and professional upbeat staff, which makes it an amazing destination to go whether you’re in the mood for a full meal or just mezze and drinks. Visit their website to learn more.
